Let's Make Movies X SPECIAL EDITION: Filmmaking Studio

For this edition of LMM we're trying something different: we're meeting to actually make a movie, in a small-scale exercise that I'll facilitate. I've booked an event space at the Hostel Cafe in northwest, and I'll bring my camera and a couple of lights.

You don't need to do anything in advance. I'll split us up into teams of 3-4 (or you can form your own) and we'll go through a guided exercise of writing a short script -- one or two elements drawn from a hat -- then block it out and shoot it.

Never tried this before? Doesn't matter, that's the point! Just bring yourself and be ready to make a movie.
