What we’re about
As the group name suggests, we will focus on the book-length memoir. The definition of "modern" here is flexible, but I think that memoirs of World War I are the earliest ones that qualify. After all, those who came of age in the nineteenth century (or earlier) knew a world very different from ours. That said, I think several criteria limit the selections: in print (or widely available on second-hand retailers) and available as a paperback.
