Why Connection Feels Harder in Adult Life and What to Do About It
Details
Connection is something most of us want in our lives, but in adulthood it rarely happens automatically.
Between work, moving cities, changing routines, and busy schedules, many people find that building and maintaining meaningful connections becomes surprisingly difficult.
And often the challenge isn’t simply “meeting people”. It’s finding the environments and communities where we actually feel we belong.
This online session is part of The Connection Circle, a space exploring connection, belonging, and community in modern life.
In this 45-minute workshop, we’ll explore how belonging works and why some environments make connection feel natural while others leave us feeling invisible or out of place.
We’ll look at questions such as:
• Why some places make connection easier than others
• How to recognise environments where you naturally belong
• What “finding your people” really means in adult life
During the session there will also be a short reflective exercise to help you think about the types of spaces and communities where you feel most like yourself.
This conversation draws on ideas from The Reconnection Journey, a framework I use with coaching clients to help people move from disconnection to belonging.
What to Expect
The session will run for around 45 minutes and will include:
