Details

What better way of spending a bank holiday Sunday than exploring the stunning valleys and hilltops of the Yorkshire Dales?

This is our second day up in the Dales, and if you've opted in to both events you'll be surprised out how different the two walks are despite the close proximity.

Starting in Clapham (the one near Lancaster, not South London), we'll join the Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail and head up past the grotto and cave before to gaze -- carefully -- down into the yawning maw of Gaping Gill.

We'll then pass through the cavernous Trow Gill on our way up to Little Ingleborough and on to the summit on Ingleborough itself - Yorkshire's second highest peak

From there we'll wind our way down over the moorland, through the boulders of the Norber Erratics and back to Clapham for a brew at the pub.

Parking

Turn up early is you want to secure a free parking spot on Clapham's narrow roads.

Otherwise it's £5.50 all day in the carpark:

Public Transport

Unfortunately I don't see any public transport options for travelling to Clapham on Sundays, so please speak up early if you'll like a lift.

Dogs

Well behaved dogs are welcome on the walk and in the pub afterwards.

What to bring

Please bring a packed lunch, plenty of water and appropriate clothing/footwear for the weather.
