What Are You Reading?

Details

Hello!

We will be meeting at Crafthouse from 3:00-5:00 on Sunday afternoon. Come tell us about what book(s) you are reading. We read all kinds of books in any language, but we talk about them in English. We usually read novels and mainstream nonfiction of various sorts. We’d also love to learn more about Taiwanese fiction or nonfiction.

As suits our fancy, we occasionally read controversial books, and in the western Enlightenment tradition sometimes share wildly divergent opinions in an attempt to discover what we might not know. (It’s almost always civilized.) Right now six regular members are going to attend this meeting. New members are welcome!

People usually spend about 10-20 minutes talking about and discussing their book. Sometimes they talk about two books, but in that case their "presentations" for each one are shorter. Please try to be on time. (If you arrive after 3:15 and are also one of the last one or two people to arrive, then you will be the last one or two people to present their book. Usually, there is enough time for everyone, but just occasionally we are short on time.)

The owner of Crafthouse asks that people buy a drink. There is tea, coffee, beer and wine. Also food.

See you there!
