Kennedy Peak - Leaf Peeping Nov 4

This is a very gradual climb and I will be going at a turtles pace as usual so do not feel you have to slow down for my sake if you hike much faster. I also plan to luxuriate at the tower and have a long snack before heading back so bring a lunch or snack if you want to luxuriate.

Folks will have the option to do the whole loop or just go up to the summit tower and double back (usually my preference but depending on the colors I may try the loop for the first time). You also have the option to climb up to that parking lot view and turn back if you don't want to take the whole day hiking but still want to get some leaf peeping in before the leaves drop.

Meet at the horse trailer friendly parking lot and we will climb up to the top. For those of you who want a shorter walk you can TRY to catch a spot at the parking lot closer to the summit. Please do not park where they tow and they definitely tow all the time.

As always this hike will be corgi friendly. Dogs that are mellow, well behaved and friendly are always welcome. Dogs with reactivity or any social issues need to stay home for this one as the tower and trail at the top will likely be crowded with all sorts of people coming and going in waves.

I'm not going to stop you from bringing your kids as this hike is doable for me so doable for kids but please be mindful that you are responsible for your entertaining and correcting you own barking dogs and talking kids. This is not a bring your kid hiking group normally but since it will be popular with the public we know kids will be there.

As always be an adult - monitor weather and dress appropriately, download all trails, bring water and poop bags for pets etc
