I specialize in positive reinforcement dog training with a calm and gentle approach. I believe in using rewards to teach basic obedience and influence behavior, relying on dog psychology, games, and puzzles instead of prongs, chokers, or shock collars.
This group aligns with my YouTube channel, Mana Dog Training Lessons, both focused on educating the public about positive reinforcement over harmful techniques like collars or choke chains. We offer free or low-cost events—private or group—for dog owners to learn and grow together. Join the movement.

Rescue dog week
Location not specified yetThis is a weeklong special for anyone who has recently acquired or rescued a dog. Rescue dogs hold a special place in our hearts, but they often require behavior modification training because they may have spent a significant time in a kennel, which can cause psychological issues. If you're interested in training and want to be part of the Mana Dog Training YouTube channel, RSVP below for a free private session. I will visit you, as I go to most areas on the island, except the North Shore—not because I don’t love it, but because it’s a bit far.

Become a puppy raiser!
Oahu, Hawaii, To be announced, Oahu, HI, USIn addition to owning and training dogs at Mana dog training, I also work with Hawaii Fido in my spare time. Over the next week, I will be recruiting full-time, long-term puppy raisers to join me and our team.
Hawaii Fido is a nonprofit organization dedicated to training service dogs that assist individuals with mobility challenges. We mostly rely on volunteers, and my role is to help them train the dogs effectively so they can be placed with those in need.
Where : in your home. We also meet for group sessions weekly. We don’t have a facility so the group sessions tend to move around to different locations.
When : we are recruiting now! So don’t hesitate to reach out.
What do you expect : Hawaii Fido will provide you with all the essential items to raise a puppy. Along the way, we will also teach you about dog training, psychology, and everything you need to know about encouraging good behavior.

Free leash training event
Leahi Beach Park, Honolulu, HI, USThis event is aimed at individuals seeking to up their dog training skills. We will cover basic obedience and leash training to help strengthen your bond with your dog.

What to expect: We'll start with simple impulse control exercises, then move on to basic obedience. Once your dog has mastered these, we will introduce leash training techniques.
Please note: If your dog exhibits reactivity, I recommend sitting this one out. If you’ve had your dog for less than a month, please avoid this event as well. It’s important to respect other participants, especially since reactive dogs need additional train.
