Let's Get Out and WALK!
Details
The Rush Creek Preserve in Novato is a tail of two trails. The trail out is a gentle ramble that follows the lobes of picturesque Bahia marsh. After about 2.7 miles we'll cut up to the ridge trail, which is a typical Marin roller coaster fire road of occasionally skittery ups and downs (but shorter than the first half of the hike). It's possible we'll run into a few bikers along the way, but it generally isn't a problem. Total distance: 4.2 miles. EXPOSURE Part sun/part shade. DIFFICULTY: 1st half - easy; 2nd half - intermediate.
