Welcome to the RoadStar Hackathon 2026, a multi-day event dedicated to building software solutions for the trucking and logistics industry. Designed for students, developers, and industry visionaries, this hackathon provides a hands-on platform to solve real-world challenges facing modern supply chains. Whether you are passionate about fleet operations, logistics software, or artificial intelligence, this event is your opportunity to build products that make a tangible impact on how goods move across North America.
Participants will have access to industry datasets to develop a wide range of logistics software. Expected projects include fleet management platforms, freight optimiation engines, driver scheduling and intelligent routing tools, and load-matching dispatch systems. Developers will also explore mobile applications for drivers and dispatchers, AI-powered predictive analytics for supply chains, and integration pipelines across major transportation software environments.
Our hybrid schedule spans across the week with two key in-person days bookending flexible, remote coding time. Designed with work-life balance in mind—meaning no forced all-nighters—participants are encouraged to build around their schedules and participate in concurrent local tech week events. • Highlights: Asynchronous remote coding, online mentor support, and flexibility to attend local Waterloo tech week events.
• Day 9: Final Demos & Judging
• Date: Sunday, September 13, 2026
• Location: Spur Innovation Center, Waterloo, ON
• Highlights: Final project submissions, live software demonstrations, sponsor judging, and cash prize award announcements.
