The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

"Esther Greenwood is brilliant, ambitious and seemingly destined for success. Yet beneath the promise of a glamorous New York summer, her world begins to narrow as depression takes hold. Caught between ambition and expectation, Esther must navigate identity, illness and a society determined to prescribe the shape of her future."

🕒 HOW IT WORKS
This is a relaxed, social meetup where readers come together to chat about our current book — no spoilers are off-limits! There are no formal rules — just good company, friendly conversation, and plenty of bookish tangents.
