Have you ever been in an improv scene and frozen, thought, “huh” or “I’m lost” or “what’s going on?”. This workshop will work on embracing the grey area with calm, joy, and self-compassion while providing tools to get past any panic and move forward with the scene. We’ll also look at the two main pitfalls many improvisers fall into when this happens.

Lindsey Theis is a Denver-based improv performer, teacher, and coach with two decades of experience. She co-founded Big Canvas Comedy, a nonprofit built on the mission of comedy for everyone. She performs regularly at Rise Comedy and with The Dinner Detective, and has taken the stage from Los Angeles (WGIS) to San Francisco (Endgames). She’s trained with The Groundlings, UCB, Second City, iO, and others who are much cooler than she is. A recovering news reporter and anchor, Lindsey believes life can be too serious, so improv should be joyful and easy.
