Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is Westchester County's largest park, offering over 4,000 acres of diverse habitats for hiking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing, with features like the Trailside Nature Museum, historic sites, and numerous trails through forests, wetlands, and along rivers. It's a significant natural and cultural area with a history tied to Native American pounds and early farming, featuring 18th and 19th-century structures and a unique landscape.
Volunteers are needed to manage invasive plants, including shrubs and vines, at various locations throughout Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. No experience is necessary!
