If you're a Michigander concerned about data centers, consider joining Sierra Club Michigan next week for our annual Lobby Day. It's open to everyone, you don't need to be a member.
On May 13, you will have the chance to meet with your lawmakers and urge them to support pro environment legislation. We're advocating for strong environmental guardrails for proposed data center development.
As our state is rapidly becoming a target for large-scale data center development, Sierra Club Michigan is calling for a temporary moratorium on all data center development until Michigan legislators agree to a comprehensive state plan that ensures these projects will not harm our communities or our environment.
If you're curious about how citizen lobbying works, join us. This is a low pressure way to be an active participant in the legislative process.
