Paddle Out To Protect The Coast - Stop Offshore Drilling
Details
Let's use our surfboards this weekend to protest against Sable Offshore’s restart of the pipeline that caused the devastating oil spill in 2015. The paddle out starts at 9:30 officially, More info on the Surfrider website, and pasting information directly from the instagram post:
"Join EDC, Surfrider, Santa Barbara Channelkeeper, Sierra Club, Get Oil Out!, Fearless Grandmothers, Oceana, the Chumash community, and coastal activists for a powerful demonstration against new offshore drilling. Refugio is where the devastating 2015 Refugio oil spill — one of the largest in California in decades — fouled miles of coastline and killed hundreds of birds and marine mammals. Today we’re fighting to stop Sable Offshore’s restart of the very pipeline that caused that spill. Come stand (and paddle) with us. Any human-powered vessel welcome."
