BPW Northwest Metro - Violence Against Women Act

BPW Northwest Metro will hold its March meeting on our regular meeting date of the first Wednesday, Mar. 5, 6:00 p.m., but not at our regular meeting place – the meeting will be held at the Standley Lake Library, 8485 Kipling Street, Arvada, in Study Rooms 1-2. (Kokopelli's, our regular venue, is not available on that date.)
Dinner will not be served, but attendees are welcome to bring their own refreshments.

| The program will be a presentation by Rita Smith, BPW member, about the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. Rita was executive director of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence for over 20 years. She was involved in the passage and reauthorization of VAWA from 1994 to 2014. She attended events at the White House and Department of Justice to celebrate VAWA’s 30th. |
