About us
Welcome to Discovering Us, an online and in-person group where we connect, explore, and grow through shared experiences. Whether it’s brunch, dinners, day trips, weekend getaways, crafting, or just good conversation, this is a space to learn who we are while being with others in a similar season of life.
Hi, I’m Joselyn, your host. I created this group because I’m in a “gray area” season—not who I was before, but not yet who I’m becoming. Life has slowed down, my kids are older and more independent, and I finally have the time to live, explore, and enjoy life in ways that feel authentic to me.
This group is intended for adults ages 35–45 who either have teenage or adult children or have no children, and who are ready to engage fully in connection and shared experiences. All meetups are kid-free so everyone can be fully present, enjoy conversations, and connect without distraction.
This isn’t about exclusion—it’s about creating a space that aligns with our current life stage. Over the years, many of us have spent energy accommodating others’ needs, and here we intentionally create a place to focus on ourselves, our growth, and our friendships.
This is a co-ed space for connection, friendship, and growth—romantic or dating intentions are not the focus. The goal is to discover ourselves, individually and collectively, while enjoying the journey alongside others who resonate with your season of life.
