Sunday Walk & BBQ Potluck

Let’s get together and do a walk followed by an outdoors potluck BBQ (walk is optional) at our yard in Eastham.
If you want to join the walk please arrive at Noon, otherwise the BBQ will start at 2:00PM.

If you are bringing food please let us know what you might bring by posting on the event feed, so we can reduce duplications.

We’ll meet at 30 Barquentine CT, Eastham then do a 4 -mile loop around Eastham. The walk will take us mostly on dirt roads and pathways, as well as a 1-mile walk along the bayside beach. We will enter Wiley Park at Luther’s Lane. We will walk by Great Pond (that’s Eastham’s Great Pond) through the woods and exit the park at Cole Rd. From there we will head down to Cole Beach on the bay side and walk north along the beach (wind will be to our backs). We will walk a mile along the beach, past Kingsbury Beach and get off at Thumpertown Beach. From there we will take backroads back to our place.
If it’s too windy, or if the tide is too high along the beach, we will walk on a series of roads and connecting paths parallel to the beach instead. The walk should take us around an hour and a half, and we should be back before 2:00 PM to start the BBQ

The Food
I’m going to make some burgers on the grill and will have some beer and wine. Please bring an item you’re proud of sharing. You can bring something you’d like me to grill, or something to be heated in the oven, or an appetizer, a salad, a side, or a dessert. I’m sure beverages will also be welcome.
