What we're about

Do you have a passion for travel? Does thinking about plane hopping and cruising adventure brighten your day at work? Are you ready to travel and seeking more companions?

If so, this group is for you! I love to travel and want to encourage as many people to travel as well. I encourage those who are continually inspired to see the world and are willing to make it happen or even those who want to finally dip their toe in the travel pond to come out and create a community of passionate travelers and adventurers.

My mission is to bring people of color together to travel and explore the world with great people, as well as encourage and promote community. Most of the travel adventures will be international (Grab your passports - we are going to Europe, Asia, South America, Carribean). However, I love exploring my own backyard so domestic destinations here we come!!!

Ghana

The Ghanaian president (Nana Akufo-Addo) and the minister of tourism (Hon. Catherine Afeku) have declared 2019 as 'the year of return'. This is a call for all diasporan descendants of Africans who were captured and transported into the Americas as slaves in the 17th & 18th centuries to return to their homeland of Ghana. What better time to travel to Ghana than during the December holidays when that place simply glowing with folks from all walks of life. We will take in the tourist attractions, go on excursions, while familiarizing ourselves with the natives and their traditions. We will go to the most sought after markets to shop, shop and shop! During the nights, we will be frequenting all of the hot clubs/lounges that Accra has to offer. This will be a cultural trip unlike anyone you've taken. ● Destination: Accra, Ghana (ACC airport code) ● Date: Dec. 20th - Dec. 29th | 2019 | Arrival into the Accra international airport on Dec 21st. ● Total Trip Cost | $2,500 usd (or it's equivalent in other currencies). ● Deposit Fee | $500 (or it's equivalent in other currencies) to reserve your spot with the deadline of March 22nd, 2019. • Email: [masked] or Call/Text[masked]. • You can also reserve your spot via our Eventbrite event page, though you will be subjected to their fees. {www.AfroTriping.Eventbrite.com}
