About us
Calling all poetry people!
North Florida Poetry Hub is hosted by the charity https://www.hopeathand.org/ and is sponsored by the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs, the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, the City of Jacksonville, the Community Foundation, the Cummer Family Foundation, the Delores Barr Weaver Fund and the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation.
Hope at Hand offers different ways to explore poetry. Hope at Hand's community mission is to provide poetry lessons for at-risk youth, but our MeetUps are for anyone in North Florida who has a love of words.

Jacksonville Poetry Festival 2026, Virtual Workshop, Featuring Shutta Crum
·OnlineOnlineHave fun trying out three short forms from around the world. The Burns stanza (or Scottish stanza, or standard habbie) is from Scotland and named after the famed Scottish poet Robert Burns. The tanaga is from the Philippines and is a short, fun form. And the triolet, which seems like an easy form--but which can be difficult to do effectively. Shutta Crum is a Robinson Jeffers honoree poet (2024). The winner of 11 Royal Palm Literary Awards. Her poems have appeared, or are forthcoming, in many publications. Nominated for a Pushcart Prize, her chapbook When You Get Here won a gold RPLA. Her award-winning books for children include thirteen picture books and three novels. She presents nationally. www.shutta.com
