What we’re about
PySTL is a community organization dedicated to the Python programming language. Our mission is to provide a platform for people to share their work and/or personal projects that use Python, and to highlight the diverse industries that Python is used in. Do you have a talk or project you want to share? Please email kevinlai31@gmail.com and we can discuss.

# PySTL September Meetup
Join us for our September Python Meetup. We will have Rowan Torbitzky-Lane present a talk on Evolutionary Computing. Come for Networking, Free Pizza, and Free Beer! Or just hang out because we're cool people.
An Overview of Genetic Programming: Tree-Based GP and PushGP
Modern Genetic Programming is often implemented in Python. This talk explores the core concepts of Genetic Programming and introduces key libraries used in the field, with a particular focus on DEAP and PyshGP.About the Speaker
"My name is Rowan, and I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Missouri S&T with a strong focus on computer science and artificial intelligence. During my time at university, I collaborated with several teams on projects involving Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for Hunter Engineering, as well as Large Language Models (LLMs) for a research lab in the Computer Science department. A course in Evolutionary Computing sparked my interest, leading me to explore the field independently. Outside of academics, I enjoy hosting and managing servers on a personal Linux machine."Partners and Sponsors
