Aysncio is Python's model for single threaded concurrency. It is extremely powerful in applications where multithreading is not possible like Desktop GUI programming. When combined with websockets, we can build real time applications that respond to external publish events.

About The Speaker
Kevin is a former restaurant owner who built his own Point-of-Sale system using python's asyncio library, websockets, and tkinter. He is currently a software developer at Xcellent Technology Solutions working with the United States Geological Survey.
