1st Calgary Artificial Intelligence Meetup

I've been thrilled by the responses to our member survey and by some of the conversations I've had with our members over the past two weeks. It's been really cool to hear about what is happening in the "AI"/ML field in Calgary, and I think you will agree that there is more going on than you thought once you have the chance to connect with each other in person!

Our first meetup will be held at the WorkNicer coworking space downtown (6th floor of 630 8 Avenue SW), it is a beautiful, open space with lots of amenities and I expect we'll be there regularly in the future. A big thank you to the WorkNicer team is in order for the hospitality.

For our first meetup, we'll hear from two members who will spend 10-15 minutes each on their topic. The first presentation isn't industry-specific, which is one of the reasons why I was interested in sharing it. I think you'll agree that it's a really fun, different & interesting project.

The second presentation will be a short overview of one of our member's current challenges training & implementing an ML model at work. My hope is that some of you can help this member resolve their challenges and impress their boss. That would be a great outcome! :)

After these quick presentations, let's share a drink and get to know each other. I will be very interested in getting more content on the calendar for November, so please make sure you connect with me and suggest a topic if you have one.
