The First Date

The First Date! Our first meeting of the season was a lot of fun...very nice people. Our second meeting this coming Tuesday (October 13th) will be topic specific. We will be looking at that all-important first date. Do you remember your first dates from the past? Do you remember the first date with your previous mate or spouse? What did you like about your previous first dates? What did you not like about them?
We will talk about how dating has changed over the years and also how you may have changed after a world of life experiences.
We will discuss personality types. You and your date might have compatible personalities; but those personalities may or may not be conducive to first dates.
We will discuss how to start a conversation and how to keep interesting conversations from fading.
You will better understand how to read the other person and what conversations or activities positively stimulate them or negatively bore them. In other words, what buttons to push and what buttons not to push.
Finally, we will look into what venues and activities are good first date scenarios. It doesn't always have to be dinner or a coffee. How creative can you be with your first date?
Our meeting will again be at Fargo's restaurant and grill located at 4976 - 98 Ave just off of 50th Street. Fargo's is located right beside the large Canadian Tire store on 50th and right behind the Petro Can gas station. Just turn east off of 50th street at the gas station and you are there.
The noise should be considerably reduced, as we will have our old section back and be more insulated from the rest of the restaurant.
Again, the cost is $12.50 per session. This includes materials and free coffee, tea or pop. Our online ability to take credit cards or debit should be ready next time. But for this session we need you to pay cash.
As last time, there will be ample opportunity to meet each other through an opening meet-and-greet... as well as working with others in breakout groups.
Our membership continues to grow; so it should be a lot of fun. Members are allowed to bring one guest. We only ask that ypu register the guest as well as yourself so we have an idea of how many will be coming. I look forward to seeing you all Tuesday!
