The workshops include of a prior presentation of the topic by myself on YouTube. The meeting itself consists of a brief review of the topic followed by questions and discussion. The weekly topic is posted a week before the event, together with a suggested reading from my work The Pursuit of Value, available through Amazon Books or myself. Discussion notes for the topic are available by email.

THIS WEEK: Intolerance is a common attitude in matters of religion, morality and ethnicity, and it can sometimes be understood in terms of the background beliefs about the importance of truth, accuracy or precision. But intolerance also seems to be related to states of insecurity and a lack of self-esteem. To what extent, then, can intolerance be explained and moderated by attitudes of security, self-esteem, self-value and a mode of sufficient value as the central theme of these workshops? Reading: The Pursuit of Value, Ch. 7, Scn. iii.
