Welcome to the second walk of Street Snap. This session is all about embracing the harsh, midday sun. While most photographers hide from high noon light, we’re going to use it to create bold, graphic, and minimalist art.

### "Negative Space"

We aren't looking for details; we are looking for shapes. We want to use the deep shadows created by Amsterdam’s architecture to frame our subjects.

  • The Goal: Find a scene where the shadow is just as important as the light. Look for a person walking into a block of darkness or a silhouette cast against a sun drenched wall.
  • The Vibe: High contrast, dramatic, and minimalist. Think less photo and more graphic design.

### Street Rules

  • Respect the Street: Under Dutch law (AVG), you can photograph in public, but stay respectful. If someone asks not to be photographed, smile and move on.
  • Sun Etiquette: Be mindful of other people enjoying the sun; don't block paths or terraces while waiting for the shot.
  • No Ego: Pro or beginner, everyone is here to learn how to see light differently.
