About us
I am hoping to start a book club for people who love to read the classics and who are interested in making new friends. Hoping for lively and thoughtful discussions as we discuss works by great authors, including modern and vintage classics. Would love to explore these books within the context of the period when they were written and through a contemporary lens.
This is a low-pressure, low-stakes group that is open to anyone who is interested in this type of literature. I will probably have some discussion questions, but will also keep an open format to allow for more curiosity and creativity in our conversations. We'll meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month at different locations throughout Portland.
Suggestions are welcome for books that you are interested in reading, and if enough people are interested I'll start sending out polls so we can decide what to read together.
