Within the last year you might have noticed some curious new bags of coffee enter the local international markets. Baaloo just recently expanded to a full cafe recently in Bartlett. They've got some great beans and I highly encourage everyone to try them out. As always, newcomers are welcome and encouraged!

The Meaning Behind "Baaloo"
In Harar, local farmers traditionally gauge the health and quality of an upcoming harvest by evaluating the vibrant condition of the leaves on the coffee plants. This tradition gave rise to the regional phrase:

> “Yoo Baaloo Bareede, Buna Bareede” = "If the leaves are vibrant, the coffee will be exceptional."
