Our Qigong Shibashi class offers a gentle, flowing form of exercise that combines elements of Tai Chi and Qigong. Created in 1979 by Professor Lin Hou-Sheng, a renowned Qigong master from Shanghai, this practice consists of 18 simple, repetitive movements that coordinate breath with motion. It's designed to improve overall health, reduce stress, and enhance the flow of Qi (vital energy) throughout your body.
The class starts with a simple stretching practice to open your body's subtle energies and remove its stagnancy.
Then, you'll practice tapping exercise to vitalize the body and prepare it for the gentle and mindful movements.
You'll then follow Arda's instructions and attentive guidance to learn the 18 movements in sequence to cultivate your life force energy.
The class ends with the standing Wu Ji qigong meditation to integrate the work you've done throughout the class.
