Agua Caliente Park Birding Adventure

Details

The Agua Caliente Park on the far east side of Tucson is beautiful with lots of birds and not too crowded. Open to all levels. We will go slow, and have a nice walk. There is always plenty of water and this time of year there should start to be a wide variety of bird species.

The Great Migration has started as evidenced by seeing a couple of migrants at Madera Canyon a couple of weeks ago. Rivoli's Hummingbird, formerly known as the Magnificent Hummingbird, is the second-largest hummingbird in the U.S. and is characterized by its long bill and the male's iridescent purple crown and turquoise throat. They were within 2 feet of our eyes at the feeders at the Lodge!

We hope to see you there!
