Birdwatching at Agua Nueva Park
Details
Across the road from the Sweetwater Wetlands is the Agua Nueva Park. Drive past the parking area for Sweetwater Wetlands and the entrance is at the end of the road where there's a gate. There are two ponds and if you look on eBird you'll see that for this time of year there is some pretty good variety.

### Plan Your Visit
Park hours are dawn to dusk. The nearest off street parking is at Sweetwater Wetlands. There is space for a few vehicles east of the gate on Sweetwater Drive. It's a short walk from there.
### How to Bird Here
This is a small park, easy to figure out. Walk around the two ponds and the periphery of the signed revegetation area.
### About This Place
The Roger Road Wastewater Reclamation Facility closed in 2014. In late 2023 the 2 remaining ponds reopened as Pima County's Agua Nueva Park.
Please bring water, wear long sleeves and a wide brimmed hat for protection from the sun.
