What we're about

This is a group for anyone interested in getting together to practice yoga, meditation and wellness in a safe, low key environment. We'll meet at the Educational Park Library for free, monthly meditation and yoga classes led by certified instructors. All skill levels are welcome. We can't wait to meet you at the library!

Gentle Yoga for Beginners

This class is a gentle introduction to yoga postures and mindfulness taught by certified instuctor, Shatarupa Majumdar. The class aims to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. Geared towards beginners and children (4 and above), the class will begin with a simple vinyasa flow, incorporate stretching and poses, including a yoga storytime for children (which adults can also follow along) and close with a guided relaxation. Please bring a mat, water and wear comfortable clothing. Try to avoid a big meal at least 30 minutes before the class starts.
