🧑💻 Speakers:
Christoph - Software Engineer @ Gepardec IT Services
Christoph Ruhsam is an experienced software engineer and DevOps specialist with many years of experience in setting up and operating CI/CD pipelines for microservices. His focus is on automating and optimizing development processes to maximize efficiency and security. Christoph has successfully implemented innovative approaches such as OpenRewrite and auto-update strategies in projects and now shares his knowledge and practical experience.
Christoph's session
Don't feel like updating hundreds of microservices by hand to get rid of all the vulnerabilities?
Is "Renovate Bot" not enough for you? We go one step further, make code changes with OpenRewrite and share our experiences from real projects.
Philip - Co-Founder of Glasskube
Philip holds a Bachelor's degree in computer science and economics from the Vienna University of Technology and a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering.
In 2024 Philip co founded Glasskube, an Open Source Developer Tooling company that maintains among other projects an Open Source Package Manager for Kubernetes with over 3.000 stars on Github.
Before working on Glasskube, Philip helped build up the alerting infrastructure for firefighting organizations in Austria and Germany as CTO.
Philip's session
One year ago, we released the first version of Glasskube, an open-source package manager for Kubernetes. In this talk, we’ll reflect on the lessons learned throughout this journey, from technical challenges to community engagement and adoption. We’ll explore how Glasskube has grown, the role contributors have played, and its adoption within real-world use cases. Additionally, we’ll discuss how Glasskube fits into the existing tooling landscape commonly used by DevOps teams, highlighting its interoperability with other solutions. Finally, we’ll share our vision for the future of the project and the next steps on our roadmap.
