22/8 - PRIVATE EVENT at THE CAVERN CLUB - Cheap drinks!

Spring is finally coming (I hope) -

Over the last 8 years, the Cavern Club has always been one of our favourite bars. When we met at a different bar before on a Friday, most would migrate there afterwards. On 22/8, we will have the entire bar to ourselves as a PRIVATE EVENT.

The Cavern Club is one of the most welcoming bars in Wellington, with heaps of room to mix, to mingle, and to dance. To add to the fun, the Cavern Club offers us the CHEAPEST DRINK SPECIALS in Wellington. However, you won't have to drink alcohol there to have fun.

Mike, The Cavern Club's owner, is a Beatle's freak. That is why he modeled the Cavern Club after its namesake in Liverpool, one of the bars where the Beatles started. Both bars are basement bars, like many that I have partied at in New York and in Europe. However, while we will not be playing Beatles' music there, we will be playing the hottest dance tunes from the '80's and '90's.

Newbies, come to me when you arrive so that I may greet you and, if you like, introduce you to people that I believe you will enjoy meeting, And remember, Friday Drinks is not a single group. Its purpose is to provide great venues for new members to come, to make friends of both sexes, and to hang out with old ones.
