5/4 - Easter morning Yum Cha at the Majestic Chinese Restaurant
Details
Happy almost Easter -
The other night, Lilly brought to my attention how long it has been since our last Yum Char. She is right - it's been months, far too long. Since everyone who has joined us at our prior Yum Cha's has truly enjoyed them, I decided that there is no better time to have the next one than Easter. Considering the Yum Cha, no evening meetups will be scheduled for Easter weekend.
If you are unfamiliar with a Yum Cha, it is a Chinese tradition where family and friends gather around a round table to have a leisurely brunch. Servers continuously bring small plates of delicacies to the table, and when ordered, put them on a lazy Susan in the middle of the table to be shared.
You may order off the menu if you choose not to share your food and pay for it separately. If you elect to participate in the Yum Cha though, the cost will be divided equally, and you will pay your share at the end. It should run between $20 and $30, since we will get a discount.
Newbies, please come and I will be happy to introduce you to your table mates.
If you're out of town Easter weekend and want to attend a Yum Cha, I highly recommend that you sign up for Kenny and Tim's Yum Cha group's 12/4 brunch on meetup.com.
Early RSVP's appreciated to allow me to book the tables.
Merry Christmas - Michael
