Please be considerate of others. Our events often have waitlists, and no-shows can prevent someone else from attending. Repeatedly RSVPing and not showing up may impact your ability to join future events.
Barn Buddies Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing abused, neglected, and abandoned farm animals. Your time and energy can make a real difference in creating a safe, happy space where these special animals can live and heal. 🦺Let’s be Safe Barn Buddies Rescue requires a liability waiver.
🧑🌾👩🌾Dress to impress… the cows and chickens! Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, sturdy boots or closed-toe shoes, and a hat. (Must wear long pants, no tank tops).
🚰Stay hydrated Water is provided but bring a snack/lunch if you wish, they have a refrigerator available for cold items. Take breaks in the shade when you need to, we will be working outdoors.
😇Be gentle and calm around animals Move slowly, avoid loud noises, and follow staff instructions when handling or feeding animals. This farm has chickens, ducks, geese, goats, horses, mini horses, cows, llama, sheep, donkeys, mules, pigs, turkeys, pheasant, quail, peacocks, tortoises, turtles, more!
💪Expect physical work You might be lifting, bending, or walking a lot. Stretch before and pace yourself.
🚘Parking Park in the large lot past the blue dumpsters, this is where we will meet before starting.
