Chödrön introduces the concept of “shenpa,” that sticky feeling when we get hooked by emotions like irritation, fear, or resentment. Her main message? We don’t have to react. We can pause, notice what’s happening, and choose a different response.

It’s not about ignoring our feelings — it’s about breaking the cycle of reactivity and finding clarity in tough moments.
