We're a group focused on all things Bitcoin and The Lightning Network. All experience levels welcome, whether you're new and curious or have been in the scene for years.
We meet regularly for casual discussions and presentations on topics like the protocol and software, economics, self custody storage techniques and mining. If you are new to Bitcoin don't be intimidated, we would love to answer any questions(there are no stupid questions) you have.

November Bitcoin Meetup!

This month’s discussion focuses on how to transition out of traditional retirement and investment accounts with a thoughtful approach to taxes and long-term financial sovereignty.
Ryan will walk through what he calls the levels of “fiat hell”, from the most restrictive accounts like 401(k)s, to IRAs, to brokerages, and finally into self-custody. We’ll cover how to consider exiting fiat positions while minimizing tax hits, why sometimes taking early penalties can be worth it, and what to know about securely holding your own Bitcoin once you’ve made the move.
p.s. Garrett, me, will be out this month, so no hats, hardware wallets or DIY Blockclocks for sale this month.
p.p.s. Don't forget to come out to the celebration of the launch of Bitcoin payments on Square at the Wing Coop on November 10th at 7pm. The owner is a local Bitcoiner, he will accept Bitcoin, and we're going to go and celebrate and have a great time!
