Ladies and gentlemen, players are ready. Serve! It's time for our annual Wimbledon meet, just in time for the tennis. We will be going to one of South London's hidden summertime gems, The Crooked Billet and Hand in Hand pubs in Wimbledon Village (they are two pubs next to each other, imagine our luck?) Ace!
The pubs are on Wimbledon Common and we shall be on the green in front, deckchairs aplenty. Picnics welcome!
We understand it may be expensive to go out and you may not want to pay pub prices, therefore as this is a public green I'm sure you could have your own drinks on the sly 😉
Note the venue is 5-10 minutes walk from High Street, Wimbledon Village, which is itself 10 minutes walk from Wimbledon Station (although you can take a bus) so consult a map (see photos below) or ask us for directions. Plenty of parking if you're driving!
After sundown we will venture into Wimbledon Village and have a look at one or two other venues, late into the night. It looks like it will go to 5 sets!
So get your glad rags on, wear your widest smile, and join us for some Wimbledon drinks and cheer. That's game, set and match!
