“Friendship is about the willingness to know.”
— Hua Hsu

It’s February, and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. In the spirit of celebrating meaningful connection, this event is designed specifically for pairs, whether you’re coming with a close friend or a partner, to (re)explore intimate friendship.

At the heart of this reflective event, which is part workshop and part shared discussion, we’ll be exploring questions such as:

  • Is how we think of our friend or partner aligned with how they experience and identify themselves?
  • How do we support our friend or partner, and how do we like to be supported in return?
  • What interests, values, or experiences might we want to explore together?

Who is this for?
This event is for friends and partners, platonic or otherwise, who are willing to get to know each other more. The workshop is done one-on-one, with each person working with the friend or partner they came with. Wherever you are in your relationship, this can be a time to connect with curiosity and explore how you see, support, and show up for one another.

Flexible Itinerary
4:45 PM – Arrivals and early chat
5:00 PM – Setting the context for the workshop
5:30 PM – Reflective Partnered Workshop
7:00 PM – Communal Reflective Discussion
8:00 PM – Closing the evening

Location and what to bring
We’ll be holding this gathering at Legazpi Active Park. I’ll be bringing picnic mats, enough for around 10 to 15 people. You are very welcome to bring your own mat as well, especially if you would prefer to sit a little away from the communal picnic area.
Feel free to bring snacks or beverages. There is also a nearby 7-Eleven if you would like to pick something up before or during the event.

Reflective Partnered Workshop
In this part, you and your close friend or partner are welcome to step away from the communal picnic mat and take some time together.

  • You’ll begin by completing the worksheet on your own quietly or while conversing about it
  • After that, you can talk through your responses with each other
  • You’ll take turns listening and sharing what you wrote and how you answered

Pens and worksheets will be provided. Since we’ll be sitting on picnic mats, you may want to bring something firm to write on, such as a notebook or clipboard. If you’d like to look at the worksheet ahead of time, it’s available here:

Communal Reflective Discussion
We’ll return to the communal picnic mat, where everyone will be invited to share only what they and their respective friend or partner feel comfortable sharing with the group.

Who is Soufully?
We aim to create genuine spaces where people can pause, connect, and engage in meaningful conversations.
