Wabash Trace Nature Trail Group walk

Details

Meet at the Iowa West Foundation Trailhead Park, Intersection of Harry Langdon Blvd. & E. S. Omaha Bridge Rd. at 5:30 p.m. Families and leashed dogs welcome. Strollers may have difficulty with the crushed rock trail. We will walk an out and back on the Wabash Trace Nature Trail, a Conservancy Hall of Fame rail-trail through rural forest and countryside. Walk at your own pace and whatever distance you feel comfortable walking. Lots of birds and wildlife on this trail. To get there, take I-80 to I-29. Take exit 47 to Hwy 275/92, turn right (east) on the Hwy. to first traffic lights after Storage Mart at Harry Langdon Blvd. (not marked). Turn right to E. S. Omaha Bridge Rd, then right on E. S. Omaha Bridge Rd.. Trailhead is a short distance on your right. There is a $4 walk fee. The trail is supported by donations. A suggested donation of $2 to Wabash Trace is recommended. Enjoy some ice cream after the walk at Tastee Treat, just off the end of the trail.
