Free parking is available in the Schramm Education Center Parking lot. You will walk about 5 minutes down the Bluebird Service Road to the park shelter. If you have a Nebraska Park Pass, you can park at the Shelter. Watch for the yellow AVA signs.
Schramm Park State Recreation Area is a hidden gem nestled among the rolling hills of the Platte River valley. It is home to the state’s first fish hatchery and has well-maintained wooded trails including a suspension bridge and breathtaking views of the Platte River. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trails. The state-of-the art Schramm Education Center, formerly known as the Aksarben Aquarium, is open for a separate fee.
*The trail rating for this walk is 3C (hilly, with rough trails)
*Strollers are not recommended for this walk
*Leashed dogs are welcome, but not in the building
*A group walk will start at 9:30, if you'd like to walk with others.
