New destination: Charming Lidernenhütte in the Urnerland 📅 12–13 September 2026 (or 11–13 September for early birds)

This September we’re heading to a brand-new destination for our Megastarhike series — the beautiful Lidernenhütte (1’727 m) in the scenic Urnerland / Riemenstaldner Tal.
Whether you’re a family, a cozy trail lover, a lake swimmer, a cablecar engineering fan, a challenge seeker, or an early bird who wants maximum flexibility — there’s a perfect group for you.

### What makes this Megastarhike special

  • Families or people with disabilities (Group E) – Hut reachable by train, bus & cablecar + only ~20 min extra hike
  • Cozy enthusiasts (Groups A, B, D)
  • Challenge-driven hikers (Group C – T4 if conditions allow, via the exciting Liderner Plänggeli)
  • Cablecar engineering fans 🚡 – Ride the Stoos Bahn, the world’s steepest funicular railway (110 % gradient / 47.7°)! (Groups A & D)
  • Lake swimmers (Groups A & C – lakes tour option)
  • Unsatisfied ones – Extra 3-hour Hundstock round tour on Saturday or Sunday (from the hut) with a swim in the Spilauersee
  • Early birds (Group G) – Start already on Friday with full flexibility on Sunday

All groups meet at the hut on Saturday afternoon for sharing stories, games, and that special Starhikers magic.

### Inclusive

4-course dinner in the hut (soup, fresh salad, hearty main, delicious dessert) + rich breakfast buffet with regional products.
All regional & local: 🍽️ Food as regional as possible – often directly from surrounding alpine farms ☕🍺 Regional drinks: Beer from Einsiedeln, self-produced ice tea in the hut, coffee roasted in Ticino
