What can I expect at a guided meditation event?
- The organizer will help you with tools and practical ideas to encourage your practice, coupled with shared stories and wisdom of the times in the spirit of mindful living!
- In general, this will look like a time of introduction, followed by silent meditation, followed by shared community time. Topics might include, but are not limited to, personal experience with meditation, real world examples of gratitude, or a theme to dive deeper into such as hope, peace or breath work.
Organizer background:
The organizer has played an integral role in meditation groups of various kinds over the past decade with a background in Catholic and Zen Buddhist meditation. She is eager to share some of the knowledge of these groups as well as expand into different awarenesses and ideas.
A few logistics:
There are no supplies needed beside a comfortable seat, an uninterrupted environment and access to WiFi for about an hour. As always, muting your mic when not speaking, and turning off your camera during the meditation session is appreciated.
