Thursday Evening
Meetup 7:30-8pm on the Lightship PO12 1NU.

Hundreds of boats are expected to take part in the annual spectacle, organised by the Island Sailing Club, on Saturday 7th June.
Dave Atkinson, Race Director, said the event is open to all. “The beauty of Round the Island is that anyone can take part,” he said.
“We can have Olympic sailors lining up against groups of friends and families, making Round the Island really unique.“It’s always an amazing sight to see so many boats sailing around the Isle of Wight and we hope this year’s race will be another really special one.”

We meetup on Thursday night, practice on Friday, Race on Saturday, party on Saturday night and Cruise on Sunday.

Are you ready to sign up - Here’s what you’ll need:

• A great sense of humour and adventure
• Waterproof jacket and trousers
• Your own water carrier, [saving plastics at sea]
• Sun cream / sunglasses you never can tell in the winter
• Wash bag and towel
• Sleeping bag and pillowcase [we got the pillow]
• Layered clothes in a soft bag for storage
• Hat and sailing gloves
• Non-marking out deck shoes
• Head torch and passports for the long weekends.
• Life jackets will be allocated on arrival and are to be worn whilst sailing
• Personal sports insurances

What to leave behind

• A bad week, it’s gonna get a lot better!
• Opinionated views, there will always be another side to explore
• Inhibitions, you’re on your own personal yacht, enjoy it!
