Melanin Motherhood

Melanin Motherhood is a community created for black mothers in the RDU area who want to reconnect with themselves while staying present and engaged in motherhood. Not everyone has a village nearby and this space is here to help you build one.

We bring moms together, no matter the season they’re in, to create real connections, shared experiences, and genuine sisterhood both online and offline.

Our events include a variety of the following

Workout classes
Park play dates, some in the RDU area and some a little out but worth traveling to
“Mom & Chill” gatherings
Creative activities (arts, crafts, photo ops)
Social outings like brunch, nail salons, movies, and more

Some events are free, and others are paid experiences but all are centered around community and connection

This is about doing motherhood together from time to time, showing up for ourselves, and feeling like home.
