Melbourne Art Class welcomes one of Australia’s most extraordinary abstract artists – David Palliser – to conduct an introductory course solely dedicated to abstract art practice.
This course introduces the key elements and techniques of abstraction and will help beginner students, and artists who would like to revisit the fundamentals of abstraction.
A wide range of mediums are available, including drawing and painting in acrylics.
The course will explore the following:

• Colour using collage and paint mixing
• Positive and negative space as the starting point for an image
• Intuition, gesture and risk

Classes sizes are limited to ensure one-on-one tuition.
David Palliser has had over twenty solo exhibitions and his work has been acquired by many collections such as the Australian National Gallery, National Gallery of Victoria, Artbank, and Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery.
