What we’re about
Are you interested to learn about feminism? ✊🏽
Every month we will gather together to discuss ideas, personal stories and reflections on feminism. This is a safe space where we can share our learnings, anger, frustration and hopes about what it means to be a woman of our time.
We also aim to have discussions on feminist films and engage in artistic experiences like poetry or any art form that you prefer. Or if you have a specific skill set that you would like to teach that will contribute to our collective's goals, that is more than welcome!
Ultimately, we want this to be a space for women where we can empower and uplift each other.

Hi everyone, we will be having our monthly Meetup on the 17th of May
🍜 First, we will have dinner at QV food court at 6PM, introduce ourselves, why we joined a feminist collective and discuss our monthly topic.
📖 Since this collective focuses on learning about feminism, the goal is to really build our knowledge on feminism. We can build this knowledge through hearing stories from different women. We will be talking about a particular topic every month so that we can all get down to the nitty gritty of feminism and all its aspects!
This month’s topic is Reproductive Rights.
Learn more here: https://www.hrw.org/topic/womens-rights/reproductive-rights🎳 After dinner, we will go to Strike QV for a game of bowling, make friends and socialise!
Cost pp is $25. RSVP and payments must be made by May 10 so I can book a timeslot.Follow our official instagram @asianfeminist.collective
Please read this collective’s rules:
- No Tolerance for Discrimination or Harassment: Any form of discrimination, harassment, or hate speech based on gender, race, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any other identity will not be tolerated. We welcome opposing views as we want to engage in healthy political discourse but we do not tolerate harmful language.
- Respect Diverse Perspectives and Experiences: Our feminism is not monolithic. Please approach discussions with an openness to different viewpoints and acknowledge that we all come from diverse backgrounds that shape our understanding.
- Active Listening: When someone is speaking, please give them your full attention without interrupting. Let them finish their thoughts before you share yours. This shows respect for their voice and perspective.
- "Step Up, Step Back": Be mindful of participation. If you tend to speak often, consider creating space for others to contribute. If you are usually quieter, we encourage you to share your thoughts when you feel comfortable. This helps ensure diverse voices are heard.
- Collective Responsibility for Safety: Creating a safe and supportive environment is a shared responsibility of all members. If you witness something that makes you or others uncomfortable, please feel empowered to speak up (if you feel safe to do so) or bring it up with the organiser.
