Build a secure CICD pipeline using ArgoCD and EKS

In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to integrate Kubernetes Pod Identity with ArgoCD on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) to enable secure, scalable, and automated application delivery. We'll guide you through configuring IAM roles for service accounts (IRSA), allowing your pods to assume fine-grained AWS permissions without hardcoding credentials. By the end of the session, you'll understand how to build a secure CI/CD pipeline using Pod Identity for authentication and ArgoCD for continuous deployment on EKS.

Workshop is open to all. No prior knowledge nor experience with EKS is required.

Ameya Agashe is a Senior Cloud Engineer at Telstra, based in Melbourne, Australia. With over a decade of experience in IT and services, he specializes in cloud engineering, DevOps practices, and automation. He has contributed to open-source projects at Layer5 and previously held roles at NAB, Fred IT Group, BAE Systems, and Transurban. Ameya holds a degree in Information Technology from Swinburne University of Technology and a Bachelor's in Engineering from PIIT. He is passionate about empowering engineers and guiding them in cloud-native and DevOps practices.
