Petty’s Orchard Ride, (BYO lunch), (Intermediate). Quiet/silence & meditation.
Details
Petty’s Orchard ride, BYO lunch at Pettys Orchard.
This is for riders who like to enjoy the quiet and natural beauty and riders need to be sensitive to others who may wish to cycle in silence.
We'll depart Rushall Station 10 am, shimmy routes past Westgarth and Alphington to Darebin then on to Main Yarra trail to Pettys Orchard.
The cafe is temporarily closed so we'll have lunch in the lovely gardens and have the rotunda to ourselves.
The cafe proprietors are taking a brief holiday.
After lunch we will do a possible investigation upstream where a new bridge has been built linking the main Yarra trail to a goat track that continues up the Yarra for about a kilometer to a beach at almost Warrandyte locality.
We will also discuss a sunsequent investigation up the Diamond Creek trail to the Eltham brewing Precinct in Peel Street:
Naught Distilling

Prosciutto Craft Beer.

Peel Street, Eltham is near the trail and near Eltham Station.
According to my reading of PTV app there are trains running Eltham to Westgarth.
After the possible investigation of the scenic ride up the single track to Warrandyte beach and/or Naught Distilling and Prosciutto Brewing, we can cycle back to Rushall Station or catch the train from Eltham.
If you wish to cycle back to Rushall Station directly after lunch at Petty's Orchard please download the following Ride with GPS so that you can return alone if others choose to investigate the single track upstream and the Eltham brewery precinct:

If you wish to investigate the single track and Eltham brewing precinct after lunch at Petty's Orchard or are considering both please (also) download the following Ride With GPS:

Check weather forecast, if the weather turns hot bring lots of water, electrolytes, hat and sun tan cream.
Drinking fountains along the trail.
