What we’re about
Welcome to MelBAM!
We promote the adoption of Business Agility within our local community, covering businesses of all sizes and supporting individuals within those businesses. Business Agility is focussed on where work (of all types) meets humanity. We embrace change, seize emerging opportunities and thrive no matter what the future brings.
We will do this through presentations from Thought Leaders in this and related spaces, focussing on the domains of Business Agility. We will embrace diversity in pursuit of an open and engaged dialogue with this community.
Our target audience are: Coaches, Transformation Leaders, Senior Leaders in Finance, Marketing, Governance, and HR, Change Managers and Change Agents.

See all- Sean Flaherty: Cultivating Advocacy with the Momentum FrameworkTeamForm, Melbourne
May’s Melbourne Business Agility Meetup will be held on Wednesday the 21st of May. Special date for a very special guest: Sean Flaherty will be running his leadership transformation framework workshop!
Sean is based out of Rochester, New York, and is in Australia to deliver leadership workshops at the Leading the Product conference in Melbourne and Sydney. He will also be working with company owners and senior leadership teams with Vistage international – a CEO coaching and peer group.
Sean started his career in the US Navy and went on to build ITX, a 300+ person custom software development consultancy. He’s spent over 25 years working with leadership teams to unpack what differentiates successful leaders and teams from those that aren’t. The result is Sean’s Momentum Framework and deep insights on the human factors that generate genuine employee and customer advocacy.
Sean’s work is strongly aligned with the Business Agility Institute’s research on the impact leaders have on their companies’ ability to innovate, deliver, and foster generative culture. Sean focusses on systems and human behaviour, having noted that when leadership challenges arise, they typically stem from systemic problems rather than individual performance.
The great thing about Sean is that he shares what he’s learnt, at conferences, at the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School, and with practitioner communities like the Melbourne Business Agility Meetup!
Put this in your calendars now! Wednesday 21st May, starting 5:30pm. TeamForm offices, 278 Collins st Level 6 (TBC), with the session running about an hour and a half.
